From 1983 to 1990, 34 cases (37 ears) of middle and small perforation of tympanic membrane were treated with pricking method of tympanic membrane. Clinical data: Of the 34 cases, 18 were male and 16 were female; Left 20 ears, right 17 ears; 18 ears with perforation diameter of tympanic membrane<2.5mm, 2.5~3.5m
